7.28.09/18:34 daikon animation So I've been playing around with .gif animation. I spent the night putting together this little clip of the DarkMeister fighting some zombies. I need to tweak the frame rate, but it turned out okay, I think. I've watched this too many times, I feel a seizure coming on.
And...I don't know. I'm still trying to find a brave publisher to take on Jobe the Robot. I knew from the start it wouldn't be an easy sell, so I'm not shocked or discouraged. I'm nothing if not persistent, right?
In site-related news, I'm continually working to improve things around here. You may have noticed that we have advertising now. Don't get the impression this makes me more than a few cents a month, because it doesn't and likely won't. Still, having advertising gives the site a slightly more legitimate look, don't you think?
Sometime next week there will be some tweaks to the overall layout, and hopefully I will finally implement a right-column I can be happy with, something I've been struggling to do for years. 7.21.09/20:57 a page from the book of jobe
7.13.09/00:25 chord crazy As a means of maximizing my good times, I decided to compile and re-do the various chord charts for arbitrary instruments that I've compiled over the years. If you would like to maximize your good times with guitar chords, piano chords, ukulele chords, or baritone ukulele chords, you can use the charts below to do so.

7.12.09/1:40 depravity's edge redux You know, it's been almost a year since I had to take the dep edge site down due to insufficient funds to maintain it, but I do still have this website, and it might be time to put up some actual comics.
If you weren't there the first time, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor. If you were there the first time, this is a chance for you to relive a bygone era in comic history.
7.9.09/20:23 badges for jobe the robot As I near the completion of my first draft of Jobe the Robot, I keep thinking of things to add, to change, to modify. One of the problems with this story is that there is a LOT of jumping around.
Since I tend to write in sections I divide with asterisks, I thought, why not, instead of asterisks, use symbols representing the characters who will appear in each mini-section. Here's a preview of what that will be like:
And after seeing these badges of awesomeness, you are no doubt itching for a demonstration of said badges in action, so I will give it to you: the rough draft of the first chapter of Jobe the Robot!
7.9.09/20:16 long live the king I was sad, too. Not because he had some special place in my CD collection, but his music was background music for much of my childhood. All those big hits playing on the radio while we drove around through our lives.
For me, it wasn't Remember the Time or Bad or even Thriller. It was a little song about a boy, and I really identified with it. Yep, your good ol' MJ wrote most of this song. Cheers.
For those of you who missed the madness and mayhem of the past few months (seriously, what were you doing?) you can access the good times of yesteryear by going to visit the grand ol' archives by clicking on that yellow word ten words before this one. |
