This might be my least favorite song on this album.  It might even be yours, too.  The reason I decided to include it is because it's really sad and I like the chords.  I thought they had lots of potential when I found them, but maybe the song I wanted didn't materialize.

The thing is, when I get stuck working on a song I don't like, the only way I can come up with something good is to finish said song that is the object of my non-liking.

Also, for many people, their favorite song of mine is one I don't especially like.  An example would be the Japanese Alphabet Song, or even Nepenthe, which I'm tired of.  So maybe you really like this song for whatever reason.

A few of the lines in this song have a little more to them than you might think.  Tatoeba, the line 'why did angels have to spite me?' is a reference to Poe's poem, Annabel Lee.  The other line in this song I really like is 'death is short but afterlives are long,' because it reveals the situation of the protagonist, alone and dead.  Lots of good protagonists find themselves this way, or are found this way...

As with many things I write, we can only hope this doesn't come true.
