[demonatrix] - [parthenogenesis] - [dealt out] 3.22.05/08:53 nicotine fist update from patient 23 It's been a long time since the Fist first got down, but we're back to continue bringing you that same old quality sound. Actually it's new quality sound. Since we're preparing to begin our fourth album, we decided it would be good and proper to post the third one, since we never did.
This album features the fantastical guitarwork of both Jay Blosser and the ever-famous Nate Dray. They both worked and drank tirelessly to bring you this album, and we all know the punch of the Fist wouldn't be the same without them.
So enjoy 'Dealt Out,' which has been preserved in its entirety for your listening amusement and to the dismay of authorities everywhere who are deathly frightened of the threat that the Fist presents to their keeping of said authority. Or something. 5.21.03/01:25 clenching the fist Welcome to the official Nicotine Fist homepage.
Nicotine Fist is the brainchild of the brilliant and sometimes neurotic J. Baugher and his uncle "Crazy" Matt Colledge. In the spring of 2002 they started laying tracks on the album 'Demonatrix', and a legend began.
Despite guest guitarist Jeff's insistence on choking death metal distortion, the album still produced a few notable tracks, including the first recording of 'Tidal Wave,' and the completely improvised, one-take-song 'Better Than This'.
The rushed production of 'Demonatrix' proved to J and Matt that an entire album could be recorded in less than a day, and they pushed this idea even farther with the release of their second album six months later, which only took a day and a half to write and record.
Their second album 'Parthenogenesis' showed a drastic improvement in recording quality and packaging design, and boasted the international hits 'State of Affairs' and 'Introspeculation'. |
