This song is obviously all about religion, and you might even think I'm criticizing Christians and Catholics, and you'd be right.  Don't you think it's hypocritical for Christians to hate vampires so much, but then drink wine and call it the 'blood of Christ'? Me too.

There's nothing in the lyrics to demonstrate this, but I actually wrote this song because my friend became a Mormon towards the end of high school. I've tried to be supportive, but since I think all religions are basically a comfort mechanism for people afraid of death, I find it hard to see it as anything but superstitious ignorance.

If you're reading this, God, I'm just kidding.  Of course I believe in you! But as an all-powerful deity whose existence does not depend on whether I believe in you or not, I find it funny that people make such a big deal about faith.  After all, I can stop believing in that bastard on the news channel as much as I want, but that doesn't make him cease to exist...
