As the name of the post implies, today was our Halloween party.  I went as link, Mark went as Anpanman, Ryan went as himself (lazy bastard), and the students had many varied and great costumes, especially the children.  Everyone brought food, and it was a really good time.

My game, a kind of skee-ball type of deal, went pretty well, and I spent most of the time getting shot and attacked by the children while their parents mingled.  Being a giant target for abuse is nothing new for me.  I did, however, get the high score of 250, which was not topped all day.

I've noticed that I get way more hits when I don't put up new posts.  The traffic to the site has gone up exponentially in the last few months, and I can only guess that my silence is more interesting than my thoughts.

Yeah, it's a sword.  I look forward to giving you pictures with the whole costume, since it's basically done.  Another thing that's done?  The first set of comics.  It only took 5 months to make 8 strips, but I'm hoping the next series is something I can produce at the rate of 1 per week.

Don't give me that skeptical look!

To make the dep edge site a reality, there's still a little more work to be done, but we're making progress on that front as well.  In other news, there's a Halloween party on Sunday at our school.  You're all invited!  Please be sure to wear a costume, bring 500 yen for the entrance fee, and some kind of home-cooked meal, since it's a pot luck.

This week has been full of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

It's a game that frustrated me through much of my childhood because I could never get that damn hammer.  Plus, I never really understood what the numbers were in the top-right corner of the screen.  In my adulthood, the realization of what the numbers meant, access to gamefaqs.com, and my all-around awesomeness have made a big difference this time around.  Also, I have 15 more years of gaming experience.

However, it's still the hardest game ever.

One post?  One post?  I take a mental vacation for three weeks only to find that Jordan has done NO posts in my absence.  It's ridiculous.  If it were possible to fire myself from this project, it'd totally done been done by now.

Done been done?  Hmm...not so good, that one.  I done forgot English.  I used to could speak it good, but due to the increasing amount of Japanese flowing into my ears, eigo ga muzukashiku natte kita...

Right.  So, onto new business.  The new business is comics, and comics is what we're doing lately.  Pretty much all we're doing.  Six strips down, two to go, and most of the extras done.  It's good times.  When will it go up?  We don't know.  My army of cheap laborers is working 'round the clock in a hot basement to bring you quality, and the harder I whip them, the better it gets.

Sexually.  Sadistically.  Spiritually.

Imagine my surprise to walk onto my balcony to see dozens of plastic anime sex figurines taped together in strange copulations, dangling from dental floss from the floor above.  Actually, I wasn't that surprised.  Living near Marc, these kinds of things tend to happen.  According to the sign on my door, I'm also handicapped.

Like many other proud sentences before this one, this sentence was typed to assist formatting.  It should be ignored completely and then forgotten forever.

And if that doesn't bring September off to a strong start, the sex FAQ certainly should.  When I'm bored, I often scour the internets for new and interesting sex FAQ's so I can learn about sex.  All of the questions contained therein are from real bulletins.  They've been slightly re-worded, but the idea is the same:  people are idiots.

It's not that I want to criticize people for having questions...it's that I want to criticize them for being idiots.  However, the idiocy can end now that I've provided answers to these questions, some of which have been plaguing humanity since we discovered we have genitals and realized we have no idea what to do with them.

What else?  Oh, yes.  Those months called July and August can be found in the archives now, and that thing called Depravity's Edge (Daraku no Heri) is one step closer to completion.  Soon, my friends, soon.  The anticipation is killing me, as are the good times.
