capo 3rd chord formations:
I always wondered what it would be like to be diagnosed with a terminal illness. I always had this plan that I would take out huge loans and spend my last weeks in a frenzy of cocaine and hookers. I wonder why others don't do this, why they don't go on killing rampages and crime sprees. After all, you won't live long enough to do time and you'll never have to pay the money back.
Maybe I'm kidding. I don't know. This song is about what I think I would really end up doing in that situation. Polywaite is not a real word, and you can find its meaning in the glossary. 'Friday friends' are people you only hang out with when you go drinking, people who won't help you move boxes when you're switching apartments and who can't be counted on for anything but making fun of you for not drinking enough.
The Japanese is grammatically and stylistically bad. In the tradition of 'Psycho Killer' by the Talking Heads, I wanted to throw a few lines of poorly-conjugated foreign speech into one of my songs. The great thing is that the majority of people will never know. And the translations on the lyrics page are slightly exaggerated, but basically accurate.
