soaking in your shoes (info)
capo 2nd chord formations:
I don't know if I can just come right out and say it. This song is kind of dirty, n'est pas? But there aren't any dirty words in it, no dirty verbs or obscene body parts are mentioned, so it's hard to say what's really going on, desu ne?
Here's a clue: it's about a girl.
Like every song ever written, to omowanai ka? Parce que femmes are interesting and provocative, deshou. They're not easy to understand like metaphysics and rocket surgery, so we try our damnedest to do the figuring out of them. Even if you're a girl, you have no idea what makes you tick, so sono furi o shinai de kure.
Men, on the other hand, are easy to figure out. We assign values to things based on how much sex or fun or food they're worth. We don't care about the emotional relationships between others, we aren't worried about 'consequences,' or 'jail.' These are abstract concepts to us. We like to put rockets on things like chevy trucks and the roar of diesel-powered engines drowns out all fear of death or drowning in estrogen.
I completely forgot I was talking about a song. Oh, right. There is apocryphal evidence that girls do it, too. The amount of glass and plastic toys sold should prove this beyond a doubt, but I need visual and voyeuristic proof before I believe it for certain and surely.
